The artwork leads.

REVOLUTION READY is envisioned as an extension of Titus's studio practice, adapting existing bodies of painting and sculpture into film.

In 2016, Kaphar completed The Jerome Project, a short documentary produced as a continuation of one of his best known series of paintings based on his relationship with his estranged father, Jerome.   This short film became the basis for a feature length film, Exhibiting Forgiveness, written, directed and produced by Kaphar and currently in pre-production.  Kaphar is also working on a feature length film inspired by his body of paintings, FROM A TROPICAL SPACE, exhibited at GAGOSIAN New York in Winter 2020 to critical acclaim.

Kaphar’s most recent short documentary, SHUT UP AND PAINT, is currently being screened at film festivals worldwide: CIFF (Cleveland International Film Festival), IFF Boston, BAM cinema fest, Tribeca Film Festival, and won best short at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Montana.

REVOLUTION

REVOLUTION READY makes

things that matter.

REVOLUTION READY makes films that explore the complexity of the human experience, championing hidden perspectives and unsung heroes, and carving out space for stories that deserve room to breathe.

REVOLUTION READY prioritizes art, researching and developing works that endure.  Our films will not make creative compromises to appease

non-creative ends.

REVOLUTION READY was founded by an artist, and consequently, our practice values process as much as product, championing resonant subjects and deeply interrogated themes, striving to ever improve craft and technique, and retaining an openness to the shifting consciousness of the world in which we live.
